Ouch! Orlandeus had both his Federal and State returns rejected. Bummer, Orl.

I’m starting to think Tax Guy is doing taxes for everyone he knows.  Very kind of him, but the rejection rate is troubling. 

Yet another Louisianan—a certain “Orlandeus Powell”—has signed up for Turbotax and used this as the contact email. This is rather a late return, too.

Tax Guy in Louisiana resubmitted his State and Federal taxes, and they were again rejected. Curiously, he resubmitted them using a different, non-Maurice first name this time (Melvin). 

Hypothesis 1: His first name is not Maurice, but he has assumed this nickname to appear exotic.  Why he used it on taxes and assumed it was part of his email address are mysteries. 

Hypothesis 2: He’s using a different first name to get around the State and Federal rejection.  We’ll see what happens next time he submits it.
